Privacy Policy

MentorClub ("MentorClub", "we", "us", "our") is an online tax education platform operated from India, accessible at mentorclub.in. We provide audio-based professional education courses covering the Income Tax Act 1961, the Income Tax Act 2025, and related tax legislation. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We use your information to: deliver course access and verify your purchase; send your access credentials and course-related communications; respond to support requests; improve course content and platform features; send notifications about new course launches (you may unsubscribe at any time); comply with applicable Indian law including the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with any party except as described in this policy.

We share your data only in these limited circumstances: Razorpay — to process payments; Supabase — our database provider for secure data storage (servers in Singapore/Mumbai region); Resend — to deliver transactional emails; Anthropic Inc. (USA) — your AI Mentor questions are transmitted to and processed by Anthropic's Claude API, which operates in the United States. This constitutes a cross-border transfer of personal data outside India. By using the AI Mentor feature, you explicitly consent to this transfer. Anthropic processes only the content of your questions and does not retain them beyond their standard API data handling policy. We require all service providers to maintain appropriate security standards. We do not share your data with any marketing, advertising, or analytics third parties.

We retain your account information for the duration of your course access plus three years, or as required by Indian law. AI Mentor usage logs are retained for 12 months. Device fingerprints are retained for 24 months. You may request deletion of your personal data by writing to privacy@mentorclub.in, subject to our obligation to retain records required by law.

Access tokens are stored as random 64-character cryptographic strings. Payment IDs are stored but no payment credentials are retained. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to service-role keys and never exposed to the browser. We implement rate limiting on all API endpoints to prevent abuse.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@mentorclub.in with your registered email address. We will respond within 30 days.

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your access token and device identifier locally. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts. The Supabase authentication library stores session information in localStorage, which persists until you sign out.

MentorClub is a professional education platform intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at privacy@mentorclub.in.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the Information Technology Act 2000, MentorClub has designated a Grievance Officer for data protection matters.

If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once constituted under the DPDP Act 2023.

By creating an account on MentorClub, you confirm that: you are 18 years of age or above; you have read and understood this Privacy Policy; and you freely and specifically consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in this policy. You may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to privacy@mentorclub.in, subject to our right to retain data required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

MentorClub stores data primarily within India or in Singapore (Supabase). When you use the AI Mentor feature, your question text is transmitted to Anthropic Inc., a company incorporated in the United States of America. This transfer is necessary to provide the AI Mentor service. By using the AI Mentor, you explicitly consent to this cross-border transfer. Anthropic maintains data protection standards consistent with international best practices. MentorClub does not transfer any payment data, access tokens, or personally identifying information to Anthropic — only the text of your AI Mentor questions.
