As a result, we are trained hard and well in flying. We are supposed to do flying sorties until we are well versed and if someone is in technical, they are taught so they are so that that is good enough for the leading the technician’s team. So in few words, we are trained well in our field of work and execute the orders given to us by our seniors and check they are followed as per instruction by the men we leading.

Please describe your current Job Responsibilities in Air Force.

Flight Lieutenant is the rank 9 officer in the Indian Air Force. Our main job is to follow the instructions given to us by our senior officers and make sure that our juniors follow them too. I addition to that, I am also a helicopter pilot. In my junior years, we were trained to be good at flying if we belonged to the flying field. On the other hand, if belong to the technical field, we are trained in that to improve our skills. Indian Air Force requires a lot of dedication and determination. Please provide details

A person who wishes to work in this field, they should be very disciplined and hardworking.

What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join your Profession?

This field very fair and just. Your promotions entirely depend on your hard work throughout the year. As we all know, people working for defense get many benefits from the government. From a living accommodation to basic household groceries etc., it is all provided to us by the government. I am really glad that my family can live in a very secured campus with almost everything in a walking distance. From the Airforce hospital to the school, it is all very near to the house.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?

Like many pros this job has, there is also an equal number of cons. There is a huge life risk here. Since my job is mainly field work, I could be called for duty at any time. In addition to that, you have to move to a new place every 2-3 years. you might end up getting a harsh place like Shillong which does not have proper schooling for kids or a modern and developing place like Delhi, where things are much easier to manage. These factors affect you a lot more when you have a family and have responsibilities on you.

It Doesn’t Matter
What is the ease of starting own business in this field?
Very Difficult

Working for the Indian Air Force, one cannot simply start a business in defense.

How easy is it to move to a different country in this profession?
Now you have several years of work experience and you have seen professions of others. If you are taken back to 10th/12th class and allowed to pick a profession, then which profession will you pick and why?
I would give a thought to medicine as there is social service in it along with more safety.
