To become a Computer Engineer, one should hardworking enough to clear the required examinations. The job of Computer Engineer requires the top-class technical and logical skills. One should really have the knowledge about what is new in the field and the trending topics in order to excel in the field and be on top of their game.

What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to become a Computer Engineer?

This job provides one with a good salary and is very secure. A company can never have too many engineers. I chose engineering as a career choice because it is the top-most chosen profession in India and have not regretted it since. The people who work with me are very helpful and cooperative. You get a lot of respect from the company and a chance to explore your skills as much as you want in the technical field. This job is best suited for the people who prefer working in small groups or alone.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career as a Computer Engineer?

One should know how to adjust in 9-5 job scenario before applying for such a job. Even though you get the weekend off, most of your week goes by in working for the company and it gets a little hard for one to manage their personal life. Apart from that, I have no complaints from this job. Since I prefer working alone, I feel great that this job does not require me to socialize a lot. However, one is still expected to have good speaking skills and should know how to work in a team if he/she wants to rise above the normal level.
