Please give us a summary of your Career.
I had started my career as an actor in Nandikar, theatre group. Before that, I had joined Mamta Shankar’s dance group at the age of 5. I was there for 15 years. I have learned 8 forms of dance. Then, I started acting in Nandikar. From there I have learned acting. Then my first film was “Muktodhara” where I was almost a junior artist. I did 14 films in Kolkata, 13 of them were in Bengali and 1 was a Hollywood film. Its name is “Sold” and the Director was Jeffrey D. Brown, who is an Oscar-winning director. This movie was about human trafficking and I played the role of a prostitute. I gained a lot of confidence while I was working for “Choukath“, as the people around me were always passing me negative comments about me being an actress. According to them, I was too ugly to be an actress. As I had a good role in “Choukath”, I gained my confidence in my acting and I started believing that I can act, after this movie. Then I worked in several Bengali movies like “Eagoler Chokh“, “Crime”, “Mandobashar Golpo” etc. In Mumbai, I had started with “Pari” and until now I have done almost 25 projects. I have done many web series as well. Apart from “Sacred games” I have also worked for Voot, Hotstar and will be working for ALT very soon. I have done 4 web series until now and will be working for another one very soon. One of my short film named “Katran” is featuring in different film festivals.
