Please give us a summary of your Career.

I have worked for at least 33 years and usually, my work has involved assisting a General Manager (GM). I am available to manage the daily workings and share in the responsibilities of the organization’s management. Also, I help to motivate staff, handle administrative duties, and perform human resource tasks, such as recruiting and assessing staff performance. I work to interview and hire new employees. It is the duty of an assistant manager to formulate recognition programs that reward excellent performances. This improves employee retention and motivation, which goes a long way to help the company to achieve its goals and objectives.

Please describe your current Job Responsibilities as Deputy Manager (Government Service).

Some of these management duties include supervising employees, attending meetings, motivating employees to improve productivity, formulating strategic plans, communicating with external stakeholders, managing the company finances and ensuring that all of the systems in the company are running smoothly. A deputy manager receives reports from all departmental heads and hands them over to the general manager. I use this information to prepare the company’s reports and hand them over to the GM and the members of the board. These reports are presented during annual general meetings with shareholders, show the progress an organization has made toward achieving its goals and mission.
