What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join your Profession?

Work life balance, pride, income all matters here. CA is a highly reputed course and the passing percentage are low which makes it more lucrative for many. The professionals generally earn handsome salaries and there is no limit one can earn. People have different areas to specialize in- they can be in audits, become tax experts, head team support in finance and accounting activities, start their own practice.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?

The professional course itself can be quite frustrating because of smaller success percentage for candidates giving exams. The tenure of the course also matters. Besides, it may involve working long hours, especially around deadlines imposed by statutory authorities and regulatory bodies. The profession involves keeping oneself up to date with changes depending on what area of work they choose to work on which may become tedious. It may sometimes lead to monotony because of the recurring nature of activities performed.
