Please give us a summary of your Career.

I started my career in early 1999. First, I joined Urdu Medium School in Hooghly as a Music Professor. I had an experience of 11 years in that school and was transferred after several requests to the Bikash Bhawan as my workplace was far away from the residence. Next, I joined Laudona College in Burdwan as the Music Lecturer where I worked for another 3 years. As in my profession on is regularly transferred, I was next transferred to my present college in Kulpi. Presently, I am the Music Directorate in Jaynagar District Institution for Education Training(DIET).

Please describe your current Job Responsibilities.

As the Music Directorate in Joynagar DIET, I have to visit the campus at least thrice a week and look after the doings of the upcoming teachers. At my college, i.e, at Gout teachers’ training college, every day I have to reach early in the morning to conduct the prayer with total devotion and rapt attention. This is one of the most important duties taken care of by me. Next, I have to look after the working and doings of teachers and guide them accordingly. Conducting classes on education and music are also important in my case.

What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join your Profession?

Positives in my profession are many.  As it is a government job, it is highly stable and chances of losing on the job are negligible. It is a noble profession and earns respect from people of all strata of the society. Financially, it is a very good job where you can definitely earn a lot investing very little college hours. My profession refreshes my mood daily. It energizes me to a great extent.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?

The negatives associated with profession include professional challenges are limited as one is focused on his/her part and very little scope of increment. The co-workers in the field are very competitive and you have to be the one out of them. Transferable job definitely has their own round of negatives. Lastly, family life is hampered as you have to devote most of your time for the profession.
