What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join your Profession?
The working hours and days are limited as a teacher. Being a Teacher at a Government School, you mostly work during the day and there is rarely any type of emergency. The work culture is good where most of the work is classroom based. The job is not that pressurizing so your mental health is at peace. You make a great bond with your students. You will always feel energized around your students as they have a very positive energy around them. And you can take holidays when required.
What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?
You may have to deal with a lot of trivial school work but this really depends on which school you are working in. Some schools just do not give their teachers enough time to prepare lessons. This can be frustrating. Another thing maybe you might have to deal with are students who lack the motivation in class. It really takes a lot of patience and efforts if you want to make improvements in this aspect. However, it is a giving job nevertheless.
