What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join your Profession?
The foremost positive thing about this field is its job security. Like any other government job, this job too is very secure. Secondly, the pay scale is comparatively higher than the pay scale in other professions that exist today. Also, incentives like travel allowances, social recognition serves as a bonus. Besides, the satisfaction of being able to help the needy in the remote areas is the biggest incentive for me.
What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career as Supervisor in Ministry of Rural Development?
The primary negative aspect of this profession is its exposure to unhealthy conditions in these remote areas. Sometimes, availability of basic facilities is absent which leads to serious health conditions, going to remote areas can sometimes be hazardous to safety, especially to ladies working in the department. One has a great risk of life when one has to stay in these conditions, often with no cellular network. This job also makes it difficult to maintain work-life balance due to the constant relocation.
