Please give us a summary of your Career.
I started my career as a Constable in the Haryana Police. It is very difficult to get selected in the Haryana Police because the competition is very tough. When I got selected, I was very excited as a result I worked very hard to do well in my job. My first duty was in Karnal district where I worked for 2 years, then I got transferred to Shahabad. Here, I worked for 4 years both of these are away from my home but after that, I got transferred to Yamunanagar which is at less distance from the previous places and here I am working since then.

What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join your Profession?
Once you get an entry in any of the armed forces, your entire lifestyle and routine will change and you will go through a new challenge every day and will have to utilize your mental capabilities at every step. I think that if you are honest and dedicated to your profession, you will definitely rise and get many opportunities to grow. The thrill of the job never goes because you never know what the day has in store for you. In such a profession, you create bonds that will last you your entire life. You will get honorary duties like protecting the President if you are deemed capable of it. It is an extremely respectful job, everybody looks up to you.
What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?
First of all, this is a dangerous job. Secondly, you will work long hours. Even some off-duty days, people who know you are in the police, they would ask for your help. It is a thankless job, it is your duty to protect people, so you often put your own safety at the back of your mind. However, nobody will thank you, because everybody thinks that is your duty. Finally, the rising crime rate is another disadvantage of being a police officer today.
