I worked there for approximately seven years and then applied for this job as a Lab Technician at Tata Main Hospital which is often considered as one of the most important institutions run by the Tata Group in Jamshedpur. I joined this hospital in the last year in the designation of a Lab Technician in the Department of Phlebotomy and I have been working ever since here.
Please describe your current Job Responsibilities as Lab Technician.
As I am posted in the Phlebotomy Department, my job responsibilities primarily include collecting blood from the patients and then testing the blood samples for various germs and diseases. I have to practice proper patient identification, especially on days when we have many patients so that every blood sample is taken care of and the reports are sent to the correct parties. We have to work out the best way of drawing blood from each patient as each individual is different and also take care of the hygiene while collecting as well as testing the blood samples.
