Please give us a summary of your Career.

After completion of my engineering graduation, I worked with one company for ten years, where I learned a lot about mechanical engineering such as vernier, micrometer etc. Because of my learning attitude, I also understood the working of other departments such as finance and accounts. In 2003, my father passed away and my whole world changed. I had become an engineer because of him only. He was my hero. I was motivated to do something different from the ordinary, which can distinguish me. So I was able to stand on my own feet and live my life on my terms. I knew that my hard work will be recognized one day if I continued to do all my work with utmost integrity. In 2004, I started a small business venture with the help of my wife, Sneha.

You should have passion and motivate yourself as setting up any business is a very difficult task. You should not be afraid to take risks. Self-belief, hard work and disciplined dedication will take you a long way. You have strong money management skills.

What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join your Profession?

In my field, you can build a local business or create an export house. While working with the local companies, I meet many people and gain knowledge and experience. My motto to increase business is to solve problems that others aren’t solving. In the beginning, I traveled all over India to visit customers. I believe entrepreneurship involves having an innovative idea, a lot of courage and planned activities in order to achieve your goals. Initially, you have to work hard for 3 to 5 years in order to gain a life others could only imagine.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?

Entrepreneurship is like walking on fire when you will have to keep yourself cool. You are short of time for your family, sometimes your customers as well. For survival of yourself and business, you need to update yourself and your organization. You have to take risk most of the time your heart would not permit but the situation has to. You need to compromise with time. It can be lonely and scary to be completely responsible for the success or failure of your business. Being an entrepreneur often means giving up the security of a regular paycheck. If business slows down, your personal income can be at risk.
