Please give us a summary of your Career.

I started my career just after my Ph.D. from Jadavpur University. I was under tremendous financial crisis and immediately had to join Voltas Limited as the Management Trainee. However, I left the job within one and a half months of joining due to certain internal conflicts and irregularity in the payment. Next, I joined as the Design Engineer at Development Consultant Limited. I had a work experience of 3 years and 8 months at that firm and again had to quit due to no job satisfaction and again, salary incompetence. Lastly, I joined as an Assistant Professor at Kalyani Government Engineering College and I am satisfied with my field currently.

Please describe your current Job Responsibilities.

For me, a normal workday is going to college and conducting classes. Being an Associate Professor in such a well-known field adds excessive pressure on you. I have to conduct my classes according to schedule and clarify doubts of my students. I offer projects to students (deserving candidates) and explain to them the work and how to proceed. Moreover, it is my responsibility that I am guiding the students to the best of my capabilities and try to stand by them at all times. I do have a few Ph.D. scholars researching under my guidance whom I guide and help with their projects.

To be honest, I do enjoy my profession a lot. If it was not Engineering, I would like to become a literature lecturer. It was my dream to study Shakespeare and Rabindranath Tagore. Sadly, it did not happen but I would love to restart my career once again while learning and preaching their work.
