What are some of the positives, which would encourage someone to join LIC?
This job provides unlimited income in the form of incentives. The job provides a sense of pride as each penny you earn is on paper and there is no chance of black money. In every other firm, there is either no or very nominal money given for extra work however in this job, one can earn as much as they want by working hard. The job also provides flexibility and is a stress-free job. All one has to do is focus on the targets and work accordingly.
What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in Insurance (LIC) Profession?
Some negatives of the job include job security. One can be terminated if they do not work for three consecutive years. The job works on a cost-ratio fundamental. If one’s cost ratio exceeds a set limit for three consecutive years, they can be terminated by LIC. The work can get repetitive as the policies remain the same and you may just have to address the same kind of questions from the clients every day. It can be stressful if one is not able to meet with their targets.
