I worked in Human Resource in Domino’s Pizza as Executive HR and managed Corporate HR, Training & Development and Employee Engagement from 1995-1999.
From 1999 – 2000, I worked for Airtel Group as a Manager. I headed the Learning & Development Function. In 2001, I started my own venture in HR & Recruitment Consultancy. Since then, I have grown into All India operations and have opened offices in Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Gujarat , Kolkata. We do turnkey assignments in HR in Talent Acquisition and HR Advisory.
Please describe your current Job Responsibilities.
I head the Business development for my organisation and I lead & foothold the staffing needs for the network by partnering with HR and business leaders to drive talent acquisition strategies across multiple functional areas. I also develop and leverage the tools, and processes to meet the current and future business needs. Lastly, I ensure the acquisition of the best possible talent match for open positions.

The best part about this job is that you can maintain the work-life balance as per your own whim. You can decide when should you focus on your career and when you can start a family. HR also gives you a lot of opportunities to connect with people. The income is steady and growing. The job is secure as there are no harsh tangible targets.
What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?
In the Human Resources department, the team has to constantly engage with other employees in order to motivate them, which can get tasking after a while as it is difficult to manage all employees, who may all have very different opinions and problems. There is also the task to make sure that no major conflicts arise between the employees’ and the management.
There may arise a situation that you come across someone’s emotional baggage. Then, it becomes your responsibility to sympathize with them, as it is human nature, but also take decisions that are ultimately in the best interest of the company.
