Please give us a summary of your Career.

I started my career washing dishes in hotels and in sweet shops. That time, I was 12-years old and did that job for about 3-4 years.
After that, I got the opportunity to help halvaais in preparing sweets. As a helper, I learned a lot of dishes and sweets to cook. As a helper, I spent 5 years of my journey and learned a lot.
I also helped as a cashier.
There is no requirement of education except knowledge and understanding.
With the experience, I opened my own sweets shop in 1995, which is a very small shop, but my own! Now, my sons help me in this business.

Please describe your current Job Responsibilities as Sweets Shop Owner.

As my business is small, I handle all functions personally, such as sourcing raw material for sweets, supervise sweet making, handling customers and manage money. I give instructions to my staff and sons, so that business runs smoothly.
I am a hard working person, so I don’t like to sit unoccupied. Usually, I help my sons and staff in their work.

In this business of sweets shop, money is the biggest motivator as it encourages you to work long hours.
Secondly, as you are the sole owner of the sweets shops business, you don’t have to share profit/income with anyone else.
You always have a sense of pride, as you run your own show, which is a big achievement.
In this business, there is no need to travel anywhere and it is a big plus point for me.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?

Initially, in this business, you may not get enough income. You will have to manage in less.
You will also feel like a loser when your own business is not running well.
If your business isn’t doing well, then you may not have a good work-culture/workplace for your labor force. If you are not able to provide a good workplace for your workers, then it affects your business.
