Please give us a summary of your Career.
Formally I started my career in 2005, before that I was in career counseling. In 2006, I established the Lakshya Child Development Centre. It has been 12 years and Lakshya is growing day by day. Now we conduct workshops, seminars, and training for parents, teachers, and students on stress management and behavior development.
After Lakshya, I established Spandan, an NGO working free-of-cost towards suicide prevention and spreading awareness on mental health.
Please describe your current Job Responsibilities in Career Counselling.
In Lakshya, we take care of slow learners. We are into remedial learning for students with learning disabilities, autism. This is the only center in MP, which provides remedial education to such kids. We are also into psycho diagnosis and also provide training and workshops to various institutions including schools and colleges.
We organize different workshops for students, for parents for both Lakshya and Spandan. The theme of the workshops ranges from behavioral training to mental health awareness, stress reducing and much more. Through Spandan we receive many cases where someone tries to commit suicide, such people are taken to the center and counseled. If required we advise them to consult with a doctor.
