I started working with the company (Investment Goal) along with my studies. Later, I passed an exam called NSIM, conducted by the government of India, which is required to be an authorized Research Analyst.
Please describe your current Job Responsibilities as a Research Analyst.
My day to day work requires me to monitor BSE i.e Bombay Stock Exchange and NSE i.e. National Stock Exchange. We have many Client companies, who invest through us in equities and we manage their portfolio. My job requires me to study various equities and recommend them the exit and entry strategies, to make sure that my client’s keep earning profits. I also deal with the client and give them the current scenario of the market and tell them how much return they can get from the current market scenario.

1. You can earn a good amount of money if you choose this as a career.
2. The market is unpredictable, once you start working you will realize that one has to be a quick adapter and quick decision maker to be in this field hence on you will enjoy working.
3. This job allows you to move abroad, as principles of equities and markets are largely the same across the world.
4. The job requires you to meet a lot of companies that are your client. Hence you get a lot of knowledge of the corporate world.
What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?
1. If you are weak at calculations you will not do good in this job. You require to study the stock market and make strategies.
2. You have to be always attentive, as stock markets keep on changing. You have to be a good decision maker. If something goes wrong, you have to quickly convert the loss into profit or at least decrease the looses.
3. Convincing companies to invest with you and if anything goes wrong handling the situation is a tricky part.
4. While working, it can be very hectic and stressful. So one should know to work under pressure.
