I have worked for 20 years. From 1992-1994, I was with Aptech Computer where I taught. I left my job because I wanted to give time to my kids. Then I started working again in 2000 in Origami India and I am currently working there as Head of Operations for Eastern region. I did not start from the very bottom since it was my brother’s partnership firm.
Please describe your current Job Responsibilities.
I manage a team of people who work under me. This includes managers, junior accountants, project managers etc. I have been managing the Operations ever since I joined this company.

1. You are always occupied so there is no time to take people’s nonsense.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in Operations profile?
1. I can give little time to family. My children complain I give less time to them and I am not able to give as much time as I would like to, to my mother-in-law.
2. It becomes difficult to manage personal and professional life.
3. Since it involves a lot of teamwork also, you have to keep track of what each member does and then you’ve to take responsibility for that.

I would have become a doctor because I was always good at science but my parents did not want to wait for so long before I made a career for myself.
